Namo Buddha is also one of the tourist viewpoints situated at an elevation 1750m. Namo Buddha lies the southeast about 40 Km from Kathmandu by driving. It is also village side top hill view point. It belongs to Kavre district. Namo Buddha is the Buddhist religious place with the huge and beautiful monastery. From here, you can see a panoramic view of the Kathmandu valley and scenic mountain ranges of Langtang, Gauri Shankar much more with the open sky is permitted you.
Namo Buddha is a legendary place. Accordingly the legend of about 6000 plus years ago, one of the princes had gone to visit the jungle there. He saw a tiger family with cubes with lying by starving. The prince had fallen in compassion and he cut himself his body and gave pieces of cutting his body. Later left bone brought to the village and buried is and ash kept in the main stupa of the Namo Buddha. Thus, he made survivable to the tigers that time. Later the prince was reincarnation as a Siddhartha Gautam in Lumbini and visited the village to Namo Buddha then declared his story.
You can drive till to Dhulikhel then hike to Namo Buddha about 3 to 4 hours and drive back to Kathmandu for overnight.
Day 1: Take breakfast at hotel and drive to Dhulikhel then start hiking about two and half to three hours to Namo Buddha and drive back to Kathmandu.
