Renjo La Pass Trek

Renjo La Pass trek is a combination of the Gokyo Lake, Renjo La, and the Everest Base Camp. Renjo La pass trekking offers a walk through the most vivid scenery and wonderful views of the mountain range in the region. Our goal is to reach Kalapathar which is the challenging high altitude, two passes of Renjo la and Cho La and visit lakes of Gokyo and Everest base camp as well. The Gokyo Peak (5360m) climb is one of the tourist attraction areas. Here, we have incredible scenery, including magnificent views of Everest (8848m), Makalu, Cho Oyo (8153m) and Lhotse (8511m) finally reach the Everest base camp. Renjo La Pass Trek is one of the most scenic passes trekking in Nepal Himalaya.

Likewise, Renjo La Pass Trek (5,340m) is one of the popular pass treks that give an opportunity to experience Everest with the closer view of world's highest snow topped mountain. The wonderful trek is intended for those enthusiasts who target on crossing Everest high passes with some challenges while climbing. Renjo la pass trek presents a breathtaking experience exploring natural magnificence, physical glory and intense cross-cultural multiplicities of Thame valley. The Sherpa inhabitants of Khumbu, the big valley below Mount Everest, consider that all things - mountains, plants, and animals are blessed. There are two high passes like Renjo La pass and Cho La pass in this Renjola pass trek.

After beginning with a flight to Lukla (2,805m), we trek first to Renjo la pass trek turns into Thame valley after Namche Bazaar, Gokyo valley then Cho la pass, up to Kala Pattar viewpoint (5,550m). Thus Renjo La pass trek goes west to East.  First, you can turn go to Everest Basecamp as well, like anti-clockwise. It is  up to the Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base camp set under the breathtaking Khumbu Icefall. Then we turn off the main trail back to Lukla via Namche again. To top off this unique trek we climb Gokyo Ri (5,5360m) for a stunning view of the greatest mountain panorama in the world.

Day 01: Arrival at TIA, KTM
Nepal Kailash Trekking representative pick you up and transfer to hotel, refreshment and free time.

Day 02: Trip preparation day
This day is reserved as a preparation day for the trip, or you can do kathmandu sightseeing as yours wishes. Special, we reserved one day for flight to Lukla from Kathmandu or to Kathmandu due to weather for flight. This is why, it is much better fly to Lukla in second day.

Day 03: Flight to Lukla 2840m and trek to Phakding 2610m) 2 ½ to 3 hrs
An early morning pick you up your guide from hotel and take you to domestic airport for Lukla flight. The flight takes you breathtaking panorama view of the Himalayas, including the world highest Mt.Everest.  After breakfast, you will start the trek along the Dudh Koshi (Milk River). Overnight at lodge.

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3445m, 5/6 hrs
The trail will lead you towards Dudh Koshi River. From the lower Monjo you can see Khumbila above Namche Bazaar. Khumbila is a sacred peak of the Khumbu valley. Trail goes gradually ascending and become harder. You will be seen the first glimpses of Mount Everest as you are crossing the mighty Hillary Bridge. The next section of the trail will be more difficult. Namche Bazaar where  an interesting sightseeing as to how the people in the region survive. Namche Bazaar is like a little Thamel, kathmandu.  Overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Acclimatization day around Namche Bazaar
Explore the day  around Namche Bazaar with the impressive views of Mount Everest, Thamserku, Ama Dablammand other magnificent peaks from the Sagarmatha National Park Headquaters where is perched on the east ridge of village which houses a museum with military quarters.  Or you can do side trip up to Everest view Resort which lies above Syangboche airport, and visit to Khumjung and Khunde which is the Sherpa traditional and life style. You can see a piece of Yeti’s head at Khumjung monastery. Overnight back to Namche lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Thame 3750m, 3/4 hrs
The preliminary section of the day is easy-walking, mostly flat however the views will be shameful. After couple of  hours, you will reach Thame.  Along the way, pass the couple of Sherpa villages. After the lunch  we will be going for a hike to the monastery above the Thame village for acclimatization.  Overnight Thame Lodge.

Day 07: Trek to Lungdeng 4500m, 4/5 hrs
The trail is gradually ascends and passes through many Sherpa  En route with different types of plants and animals, settlement of Sherpa people. The across Tibetan Yak Caravans trading en route to and forwards  Namche to Tibet. Overnight at lodge.

Day 08: Trek to Renjo La Pass 5340m and Gokyo 4790m, 8/9 hrs
From Lung Deng crosses a chorten on top of a ridge before ascends and descends.  We will pass through some villages and rhododendron forest before reaching the Yak Kharka. The place is located belo renjo La, approximately about 4950m.Trekking continuously to Renjo Pass 5340m, slippery trail up to the Renjo Pass which awaiting you fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding , then  descend to Gokyo 4790m. Overnight at lodge.

Day 09: side trip to Gokeyo Ri  5483m,  3 hrs (Ascend)
An early morning hike to the top of Gokyo Ri, which have stunning views of the Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa Glacier, longest glacier in Nepal and an incredible panoramic view of the Khumbu Himalayas of – to east Mt Everest standing , Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu (8481m), to the north Cho-Oyu (8153m) and Gychung Kang (7922m), to the South - Kangtega, Thamserku and many more. Gokyo Ri is one of the highlights of the trek.  Back to Lodge and have lunch. Overnight at lodge.

Day 10: Trek to Thangnak 4950m, 2 hrs
We trek onwards to Thangnak along the moraine Glacier of Ngozungba.  With the view of Mount Cho Oyu, Gokyo Ri whole hill as well as Renjo la pass. Overnight at lodge.

Day 11: Trek to Cho la pass 5368m - Dzongla 4830m, 5/6 hrs
The path leads you along the valley up through yak pastures, rocky trails. En route - encounter steep big rocks with harder walking that leads to the summit of the South Cho-La Pass . During ascending nearby the Cho la be attention by falling rocks over you.  This pass will be 3rd view point as like previous Renjo La pass and Gokyo Ri, the view a flat glacier plateau with magnificent views to both side east and west.  We will descend the snow -covered glacier, immediately follow down rocky trail again, not for long time and into Dzonghla.  This is a day whether you minimized one day early back to Lukla or Kathmandu. If you do not stay for a night at Dzongla then your trekking will be go a day ahead. In the case of do not stay at Labuche for a night. Overnight at lodge.

Day 12: Trek to Gorak shep (5160m)
The trail follow mostly descend above the blue Tsola Lake and passes along the beautiful summit of Cholatse and Taboche and the small Chola Glacier on the right hand backwards. The trail eventually descends into the valley and  the settlement of Lobuche. After having some rest or food keep onwards, you will reach Gorak Shep via moraine beside the Khumbu glacier. It the time is enough as well as fit enough physically and weather should be good then try go to Kalapathar for sunset view over Mt Everest . Overnigh at lodge.

Day 12: Gorak shep to Kalapatther 5550m – Gorakshep
We climbing early morning up to Kalapatther and then return back to Gorak shep. We will explore around Kalapatther for it is called to having magnificent views of all the major eastern Himalayan peaks by closely  Mt. Everest. Same day can be go to Everest Base camp after lunch and back to the lodge for night. Overnight at lodge.

Day 13: Trek to Dingbouche 4410m, 4 hrs
We trek to Dingbouche or trek direct descending to Pheriche or further as your timeframe. In the late afternoon, we reach Dingbouche or Pheriche. Overnight at lodge.

Day 14: Trek to Tengboche 3870m – Namche Bazaar, 7/8 hours
The day for our eyes - Ama Dablam. On the way you will be able to see the Lhotse- Nuptse Wall will Everest  when you turn back.  The Mount Everest and other peaks view will be panoramic from Tyangboche .  There is situated a big monastery. From Tyangboche trail brings you down to the Dudh Koshi and start ascend to Kyangjuma then trekking trail eventually flat to Namche through some stupas with panorama  Everest views.Overnight accommodation will be in a lodge. 

Day 16: Trek  to Lukla
After breakfast, time to say see you again to Namche.  Al the way walk down to Lukla which we have done the day 3rd and 4th , by reaching to Lukla, we will be washed Khumbu dust then feel refreshment and relax. Overnight at lodge.

Day 17: Lukla to Kathmandu
Take a flight an early morning for Kathmandu and transfer to Kathmandu Hotel, free day.

Day 18: Departure day
Nepal Kailash Trekking representative will transferred to airport for yours onward destination, Wishing you nice journey.
