Our Story: Built on Grounded Experience & Grit

Nepal Kailash Trekking is a family-run enterprise built on decades of hands-on field expertise, hard work, and unyielding integrity.

Our Founder, Raju Gurung, comes from a humble farming background in the pristine Ganesh Himal region. His trek in the Himalayas began in August 1999—not behind an office desk, but on the rugged trails as a high-altitude porter carrying 45+ kg loads on his first trek to Upper Mustang.

• 1999 – 2002: Worked up from a porter to a porter-guide and Sherpa team member.
• September 2001: Completed his first major expedition to Mount Kailash (Tibet) via Simikot, earning outstanding praise from international trekkers for his honesty and work ethic.
• 2002: Earned his official Grade 'A' Trekking Guide License from the Government of Nepal.
• Present: Has guided over 27+ successful Mt. Kailash pilgrimages alongside countless treks across all major routes of the Nepal Himalayas (Annapurna, Everest, Langtang, Upper Dolpo, Manaslu, and restricted regions).
