Our Team

Raju Gurung is the founder and visionary behind Nepal Kailash Trekking Pvt. Ltd. Originally from Dhading district—near the Ganesh Himal region—Raju moved to Kathmandu to establish a responsible and guest-centric local trekking agency. He has been working in Nepal’s tourism sector since August 1999 and formally established his company on August 11, 2015.

Specializing in trekking, cultural tours, peak climbing, and mountaineering, Raju leads expeditions across Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan. Remarkably, he has completed the sacred Mt. Kailash Yatra over 25 times since his first trip in 2001.

Beyond tourism, Raju is deeply committed to non-profit social work, community development, and Himalayan eco-preservation. Known for his warmth, quick response times, and exceptional hospitality, Raju consistently goes above and beyond to tailor trips to his clients' budgets and expectations.

Maiti Gurung (Chandra Kala Gurung) serves as the General Manager and Financial Controller at Nepal Kailash Trekking. Coming from a proud Nepalese military family background, she brings discipline, structural integrity, and heartfelt warmth to company operations.

Maiti oversees daily office operations, financial planning, and client relations, ensuring the office stays accessible 7 days a week with 24/7 client support services. Her focus is always on enhancing guest experience and service quality.

She is also actively involved in social welfare initiatives, supporting underprivileged families and persons with disabilities in remote Himalayan villages.
