Annapurna

The meaning of Annapurna, Anna "Crops" and Purna is full. So, it goes the meaning for food (crops), that’s why similarly “Goddess of the Harvest”. The Annapurna is a name of the massif mountain in the north center of Nepal.

 It is the 10th highest mountain in the world (Annapurna 1st 8091m), and it is continuously till Annapurna 5th. Mount Annapurna is the most dangerous to climb due to a high fatality rate, unpredictable climate and more risks of avalanches. 

Few palaces the world have such a splendid variety of natural beauty crammed into one small area as the Pokhara valley. Bounded on one side by the sparkling water of Phewa lake and on the other by the magnificent peak of the Annapurna range. Pokhara is truly heaven on earth, This is also the starting points of ending points of many popular trekking routes, such as the Annapurna circuit, Annapurna base camp Trek, Mardi Himal Trek, Khopra Trek, Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, Mohare Danda trek, Annapurna north base camp trek, Mustang trekking tours, Dhaulagiri Trek etc. You can choose from an easy ridge walk from Naudanda to Sarankot, taking only 2 to 3 days or longer excursions from 6 to 28 days. The options are endless. See the sunrise over the Annapurna range from poon hill, soak in Hot springs at Tatopani, tour old walled towns like Marpha and Kagbeni, visit Muktinath (a holy pilgrimage site for both Hindu and Buddhists) cross the 5416 m  Thorang La, or visit the Annapurna base camp or just do it all!

 

The villages are inhabited by a wide diversity of different ethnic groups, the region offers spectacular and majestic views of the white Himalayas. The highest point of Annapurna Trek is Thorungla pass at the top of the valley at 5416m. Everybody should get knowledge before the final steep climb over the Thorung La pass or other high lands of Himalayas of Nepal. So, great care is required with acclimatization to avoid altitude sickness.
