mountain views. The trail of the Helambu trekking passes mostly reaching the ridges through the forest, up and down hills.  Most people from the region is Buddhist. You see there a rich culture, monasteries, and stupas with colorful prayer flags. The most villages of Sherpa and Tamang cultivated land as well.  This trek would be a great ideal for people with less time who do not wish to travel too far from the Kathmandu Valley. Helambu is located in a lush region, nearby the North of Kathmandu valley. It is although the Sherpas of this region different in their practices from their cousins of the Everest region.

The region has been built up the lodge for trekkers. After the mega-earthquakes of April 2015 in Nepal, most lodges have been destroyed. Now, there are reinstated structures with eco-friendly lodges and it is known as a climate trek in Nepal. The silent features of the eco-lodge have been tried to build in full based on the ecosystem.  The trekkers or agency should make sure by taking pre-booking for those lodges. Helambu trek leads you approximately up to 3600 meters (Tharepati). It is one of the best viewpoints of the trek for mountain views across the green valleys. Tharepati is a junction between Helambu and  Gosainkunda Langtang Trek. So, the Gosainkunda trail follows further west north and Helambu trekking trail turns down to the northeast trail. It is one of a week treks in Nepal. You can make it either shorter or longer by starting from Sundarijal as staying in Chisapani as the first night and last night at Sermathang.
