How can we develop tourism in Nepal, it has been very trekking tour companies and exercising on it. My thinking revise trekking permit cost. The mostly who are related in tourism in Nepal, working hard after the government of Nepal has been announced Visit Nepal 2020.

As I have been working in trekking company in Nepal since 1999, I have been thinking something should do in the Nepal trekking permits. For example, to get the permit of the restricted region of Upper Mustang should be two members compulsory. Why not allow just for one member paying $500 for 10 days? Definitely there will be increasing tourists in Nepal if the government of Nepal changes this system. This can be one way to develop tourism in Nepal.

There are many ways that how we can develop tourism in Nepal, if a trekker wants to trek to Upper Dolpo then he/she has to pay USD 500 per head for first 10 days then after per day $50. By paying this $500 may not trek there, he or she has to pay next $500 according to the rules and regulations of government. Ok, He or she paid $1000 just for Upper Dolpo Trekking permit but the immigration where the special permit issues, they look after second person passport with a valid Nepal visa but it is for what and why? Also, the trekkers have to pay lower Dolpo permit fee $10 at the immigration but why it is necessary if they have paid already $500 per person? So, we should think about it and remove such rules. My view is that single trekker should allow a trek to such a restricted area with a single trekker and permit fee ($500). It covers at least one porter cost. See here, a trekker can go alone there if single permit is allowed and at least one of local people gets a little job. It helps to say happy Nepal prosperous Nepal.

There are many things we can do, which makes easy to answer to how we can develop tourism in Nepal. We can improve by promoting natural tourism, develop home stay by giving a training of tourism activities and keeping the environmental ecological. Every day thousands of Nepalese are going to abroad for use in different countries, provide to them all some nice material tag on their baggage which could promote Nepal tourism. Such the way, which are living in abroad, they can support for the country by a promotional tagging sticker on their car like visit Nepal 2020. Government should have taken direct flights from the different countries in the best airfare.
